Why do you have an application process instead of just letting people book?
We want to ensure that everyone who joins a Playground has the best possible experience. Because the intimate setting of small groups playing together is all about the people, we carefully select group constellations so that everyone feels included, inspired, and challenged in a way that simply feels good. When you are accepted into a Playground, you can be sure that the same care that went into your application went into each participant’s before joining your group. We are interested in the genuine human being who wants to join a Creative Playground experience. We’d like to get to know you on a personal level – after all, we’ll spend quite some time together, so group dynamics and harmony are important. There are no right or wrong answers in an application. Be real, let us in on your true self, and together we can explore whether Creative Playground is exactly what you are looking for.
What happens after I apply?
After completing our survey and meeting us in a 30min videocall, we will take our time to evaluate your application. After a successful application, you will secure your event spot by paying your reservation fee and remaining balance according to your chosen payment plan. When these formalities are behind us, you will receive all the necessary information about your Creative Playground experience. We will send you tips about itineraries, what to pack, weather, the country… everything really to feel well prepared and ready to play.
How long does the whole process take from application to confirmed spot?
We review applications on a rolling basis and will be in touch within a week. If it's a match, you'll receive your personal invitation and a secure payment link for your reservation fee that you can pay within 7 days.
Can I apply for more than one Playground at a time?
Of course, and the best thing: you don’t have to apply more than once. When applying for a Playground, you will let us know your preferred locations and dates, before booking your 30 min videocall with us. If your application was successful, you can decide which of the Playgrounds you want to join: only one or directly all of them?!
What's the payment structure?
Once you're accepted, you'll receive a secure payment link. You have 7 days to confirm your spot — after that, it may be passed to the next person on the waitlist.
Payment is in EUR. Flexible payment plans are available upon request and depend on your booking timing.
- € 500,- reservation fee — due within 7 days of acceptance (We may retain the reservation fee as a reasonable lump-sum cancellation charge)
- Remaining balance via full payment or installments (confirmed individually after application approval)
The reservation fee covers commitments we make to venues immediately upon your confirmation.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 60 days before
We may retain the reservation fee as a reasonable lump-sum cancellation charge. Any amount paid beyond the reservation fee will be refunded within 14 days, unless a higher amount is justified under the following rows.
31–60 days before
We may retain the reservation fee and, in addition, charge 25% of the remaining balance as a reasonable lump-sum cancellation charge, unless the participant proves that no loss or substantially lower loss was incurred.
30 days or fewer before, or no-show
We may retain the reservation fee and charge 100% of the remaining balance, unless the participant proves that no loss or substantially lower loss was incurred.
Emergency / medical case
We will review the case in good faith and may offer rebooking, credit, a reduced cancellation charge, or a refund where appropriate.
Consider transferring your spot instead.
Can't make it? You can pass your spot to someone in your network, as long as they go through our application process and get accepted. A €100 admin fee applies, payable by the transferring participant. It's usually the best outcome for everyone involved.
We strongly advise securing travel cancellation insurance when confirming your spot. It's a simple way to protect yourself if something unpredictable happens.
What if the Playground is cancelled by you?
We hope we won’t have to cancel, but you never know what unforeseen circumstances might arise. But of course, this means that we will offer a full refund of all your sums paid within 14 days. You can decide if you want to use your paid balance for another Playground, or if you would prefer your money back to the same payment method you used when you booked your experience.
I want to join but there are no dates that work for me. What can I do?
First of all, it’s always a good idea to subscribe to our newsletter. This is the easiest way to find out about new locations and dates before others. Some of the displayed locations already display “Join the Waitlist”. If you are joining the waitlist, you will also have the possibility to let us know your preferred dates at which you would like to join a Playground. This gives us the possibility to find the biggest possible overlap for new dates, so that we can offer them to as many curious applicants as possible.
